Applying for exemption from railroad operating purposes for a property on which federal railroad operating facilities are located
If there is no longer a traffic need for a piece of railroad land and it is no longer to be expected that the infrastructure will be used for its intended purpose in the long term, it is released upon application to the Federal Railway Authority. Planning authority is then transferred back to the local authority.
