Register of craftsmen: registration of small businessmen

Service Description

For a selection of activities that are considered to be non-essential, no entry in the register of skilled crafts or in the directories kept by the Chamber of Skilled Crafts is envisaged.

Non-essential activities are those which can be learned within three months or which require a longer period of training, but which are of minor importance for the overall picture of the craft in question, which is subject to licensing. Furthermore, activities that have not arisen from a craft subject to licensing are considered non-essential.

However, registration is required if you have successfully passed the journeyman's examination in a craft subject to licensing, the activity in question was part of your initial training in this craft subject to licensing, and this activity constitutes the predominant part of your commercial activity.

This regulation only applies to tradesmen who register a trade for the first time after December 31, 2003.
