For the use of the public facility for waste disposal, the county/town charges fees to cover the costs.

The expenses to be covered by the waste fee include in particular the costs for:

• collecting, transporting and disposing of waste from households and disposal waste from commercial enterprises, other commercial enterprises or public institutions
• the marketing of recyclable materials
• waste consulting
• planning, construction, operation, aftercare, recultivation and renaturation of waste utilization and disposal facilities
• the formation of reserves for the foreseeable later costs of decommissioning and aftercare at waste utilization and disposal facilities.

The fee scale is intended to provide effective incentives for prevention and recovery.
