The aim of the information transfer is to ensure effective hazard prevention by interlocking internal and external alarm and hazard prevention planning. For this reason, cooperation between the operator and the authorities responsible for civil protection and general hazard prevention should already take place during the development and each update of the internal alarm and hazard prevention plans.

It is imperative that operators and authorities cooperate in defining the external hazard areas.

After preparation and each update, the content of the internal alarm and hazard prevention plans must be communicated to the authorities responsible for disaster control and general hazard prevention, insofar as it is necessary for these authorities to fulfill their tasks. Within the framework of cooperation, it should therefore be discussed which documents in detail should be forwarded to the authorities with regard to their distribution of tasks.
