Since October 1, 2017, no new civil partnerships have been established in Germany for persons of the same sex.

your identity card or passport (if you apply in writing, a certified copy; online, you must authenticate yourself electronically)
if you are applying for or collecting the certificate by a representative: written power of attorney from the authorized person, their ID card or passport and the ID card or passport of the representative
for other persons, proof of their legal interest
