Construction - Application for approval for construction products Usability in individual cases

Service Description

For building you need construction products. Construction products without CE marking must comply with technical rules or be approved. If a construction product does not do this, it may still be technically suitable. In this case, you need approval in individual cases. This means that the building supervisory authority approves the use of the construction product because its suitability has been extra proven. The building authority checks the documents and evidence relating to the building product that you submit with the application.

Process flow

You submit the application to the TMIL's Unit 24 Construction and Energy Engineering.

You should enclose all documents that are necessary for the structural engineering assessment.

After receipt of the application, the completeness of the application documents is checked.

After that, the structural engineering review of the documents begins.

If there are still detailed questions, we may ask additional questions.

After the documents have been successfully checked, a notice is issued containing the approval in the individual case. This notice is the proof of usability for the construction product.

At the same time, a fee notice is issued.

Requirements

All parties involved in the construction may submit an application.

If the applicant and the recipient of the consent are not the same in the individual case, a declaration of assumption of costs is required

Which documents are required?

Informal application with contact details of applicant and, if applicable, addressee of the notice.

Documents accompanying the application:

  • Designation of the building project with complete address
  • File number of the building permit and responsible building permit authority
  • Specification of the building owner with address
  • Concrete description of the subject of the application (deviation from the usability certificate or absence of a technical rule)

Required if necessary:

  • Cost absorption declaration
  • object-related expert opinion of a body recognized according to § 24 ThürBO
  • exact drawings of the construction elements/types to be executed, in particular of the deviating details
  • floor plans with indication of the place of installation
  • Proof of stability or serviceability
  • Proof of fire protection requirements (deviations approved by the building authorities, if applicable)
  • Thermal insulation certificate, sound insulation certificate
  • Test reports from other similar construction projects

What are the fees?

Fees are charged in the range of 100 to 5000 euros in accordance with the Thuringian Building Fees Ordinance. The amount of the fees depends on the effort of processing.

What deadlines do I have to pay attention to?

No deadlines.

Processing duration

If all documents are complete, we aim for a processing time of no more than 3 months.
