Concerns to the Ombudsman

Service Description

The ombudsman is the contact person and advisor for citizens in all matters of public administration. He has the task of safeguarding their rights vis-à-vis the agencies of public administration in Thuringia and advising and supporting them in their dealings with the administration. He sees himself as a "moderator, interpreter and pilot" at the interface between citizens and the state. As such, the ombudsman mediates in conflicts between citizens and the public administration, helps people understand official letters or texts, and provides information about responsibilities and knowledgeable contacts.

Everyone has the right to contact the Ombudsman directly in writing or orally, either individually or in association with others.
