Flying structures (e.g. rides, tents, grandstands, stages) require an execution permit before they are erected and put into use for the first time.

The execution permit is issued for a limited period of time and can be extended upon application.

The execution permit and its extension is issued by the supreme construction supervision authority or other authorities commissioned by it, for example, TÜV, state inspection offices and so on.

The issuance of the execution permit and its extension is preceded by an on-site technical inspection.

The periods until a required extension differ according to the hazard potential and range from one to five years.

When the execution permit is issued, the issuing authority prepares an inspection book for the flying construction. In addition to technical documents, it contains the execution permit, its extensions and any necessary conditions.

The installation of the flying construction must be reported to the responsible lower building supervisory authority and the test book must be submitted. The latter decides on any acceptance of use that may have to be carried out beforehand.
