Service Description
Funding is provided for scientific research projects and the development of research infrastructure that support the sustainable expansion of research priorities at scientific research institutions in Thuringia. The projects must be in line with the Regional Research and Innovation Strategy for Intelligent Specialization (RIS 3 Thuringia). Funding is possible in the following RIS 3 fields:
Specialization fields
- Industrial production and systems
- Sustainable and intelligent mobility and logistics
- Healthy living and health economy
- Sustainable energy and resource use
Cross-sectional field
- Information and communication technologies, innovative and production-related services
Funding in the cross-sectional field is only possible if the project is also related to at least one specialization field.
Each RIS 3 field is underpinned by several key objectives. When submitting an application, the applicant must plausibly demonstrate the relationship of his or her project to a key objective. If the key objective is assigned to the cross-sectional field, the reference to a specialization field must also be worked out.
Funding is awarded in a two-stage competitive process.
The competition calls and their framework conditions are published on our website.
