The activity as a publicly appointed expert is terminated when the public appointment expires. This is the case if the Expert declares to the respective appointing authority that he no longer wishes to work as a publicly appointed and sworn Expert, the period for which the Expert is publicly appointed expires or the appointing authority withdraws or revokes the public appointment. After the expiration of the public appointment, the expert shall return the certificate of appointment, the identification card and the round stamp to the appointing authority.
