You must have a license to practice as a veterinarian or a permit to temporarily practice as a veterinarian.

Furthermore, you must have a suitable room in which medicinal products are manufactured, tested, stored, packaged or placed on the market (operating room). The requirements for the condition of the operating rooms in accordance with § 3 of the Ordinance on Veterinary Home Pharmacies must be complied with. The operating rooms must also contain the equipment required for the proper operation of your veterinary home pharmacy. The equipment must be in perfect condition. In the operating rooms, the relevant legal regulations on the circulation of medicinal products, narcotics, the Pharmaceutical Price Ordinance and, if required by the type and scope of the activity, the official edition of the Pharmacopoeia in the current version must be available.
