1. proof of successful participation in a training course on electrofishing by presentation of an operating certificate for the operation of electrofishing equipment; permits for electrofishing issued before October 3, 1990 and operating certificates issued by other countries are recognized,

2. the presentation of the confirmation of the Technical Inspection Agency or the test center of the VDE Verband der Elektrotechnik Elektronik Informationstechnik e.V. that the electrofishing equipment complies with the recognized rules of technology, in particular the regulations of the VDE Verband der Elektrotechnik Elektronik Informationstechnik e.V. for electrofishing equipment and excludes damage to the fishery,

3. proof of a liability insurance policy of 500,000 euros for personal injury and 50,000 euros for property damage, and

4.The written consent of the person entitled to fish or, in the case of leasing, of the person entitled to exercise fishing rights of the water body in which the electrofishing is to be carried out; the supreme fisheries authority may demand that the declaration of consent of persons entitled to fish or, in the case of leasing, of persons entitled to exercise fishing rights of adjoining parts of the water body is also submitted if adverse effects on the fish population of an adjoining part of the water body cannot be ruled out.

The permit shall be temporary and revocable for specific purposes, waters, and gear. The permit may be subject to additional conditions or requirements.
