Service Description

In addition to the 23 adult education centers, another 12 adult education institutions recognized under the Thuringian Adult Education Act have been established in Thuringia. As publicly funded adult education institutions, they see it as their duty to guarantee the right to education for all citizens in the region. The main objective is to promote general, political, cultural and vocational adult education. The educational offers are aimed at all interested parties, regardless of profession, denomination or party affiliation.With their wide-ranging educational offers, the adult education institutions make a significant contribution to equal opportunities for citizens, help to reduce educational deficits and enable the deepening and supplementation of existing or the acquisition of new knowledge, skills and qualifications.The offerings include events, seminars and courses in the areas of politics, society, the environment, art, culture, design, health, languages, information technology, administration, commercial practice, vocational qualifications and natural sciences.Information or links to the programs of the adult education institutions in independent sponsorship can be found on the pages of the Thuringian Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports.
