Comprehensive School

Service Description

There are comprehensive schools in Erfurt, Gera, Gotha and Jena. The comprehensive school begins with grade 5 and leads to a secondary school diploma, a secondary modern school diploma or, in combination with an upper secondary school, a high school diploma. It can be run on a cooperative or integrated basis. In the cooperative comprehensive school, classes are formed for the lower secondary school, the upper secondary school and the Abitur, depending on the qualification sought. In the integrated comprehensive school, appropriate courses are formed depending on the degree sought. The gymnasiale Oberstufe here comprises grades 11 to 13.
