The Product Contact Points will inform you about national regulations that to be observed if you wish to place products from another member state on the German market.

Information on construction products can be obtained from the Product Contact Point for the Construction Industry at the German Institute for Building Technology .

For all other products, the product information centers of the Federal Agency for Agriculture and Food (BLE) and the Federal Institute for Materials Research and Testing (BAM) are responsible.

At the BLE's Product Information Center, which is responsible for the agricultural and fisheries sector as well as consumer goods, you can obtain information about placing these products on the market in Germany and about the relevant technical regulations.

The BAM product information centre provides you with information on national technical regulations for products that have not yet been harmonized at European level. It deals with all products that are not covered by the other two Product Contact Points (construction products, agricultural products/fishery products/utensils).

The Product Contact Points also provide information on the principle of mutual recognition and the application of Regulation (EU) 2019/515 in Germany.
