You must apply to the Federal Agency for Civic Education (BpB) for this grant for your model project.
Applications can be submitted by

• Educational institutions,
• associations and
• other actors with a project idea in the field of political education

In the application for funding, you must provide information on the following points, among others:

• Description and objectives of your project
• planned funding and the proportion of your own funds
• Planned start and duration of your project

You can submit your application on your own initiative and throughout the year or apply with your model project specifically for a thematic call for proposals from the Federal Agency for Civic Education.

Please note that you must submit your application before the project begins. Model projects that are already running will not receive funding.

After completing your pilot project, you are obliged to submit a factual report and evidence of the use of the funding.

What is a pilot project?
Model projects are time-limited projects

• whose results are transferable to other educational institutions or funding areas
• and which are intended to provide findings with regard to the development, testing, review, further development and transfer of methods and concepts
• the funding is only valid for the period specified in the grant notification. Follow-up funding is not possible

You must submit your application for funding for your pilot project online or in writing to the BpB.

You can also submit the application as an authorized representative of your project sponsor. You will need a corresponding power of attorney for this. This must be signed by all authorized board members. If you have any questions about the structure of the project description and the financial plan, please contact the BpB's funding department.
