Request allocation of the SSR mode code
Service Description
To put an aircraft into operation, you must equip it with a secondary radar responder (transponder). To do this, you must obtain an SSR mode code from the Luftfahrt-Bundesamt (LBA).
You must submit general information about the aircraft with the application for the allocation of an SSR mode code.
For legal and organizational reasons, the recipient of the invoice is always the person submitting the application. A different billing address is not possible.
With an assigned SSR mode code, the aircraft in question can take part in traffic as soon as it has been approved for traffic.
