Vocational training: Trainers - certify vocational and occupational pedagogical aptitude.

Service Description

According to the Vocational Training Act (BBiG), trainers may generally only provide training in recognized training occupations if they employ trainers who meet the suitability requirements and can thus prove that they have acquired the vocational and occupational pedagogical skills, knowledge and abilities. The vocational and occupational pedagogical aptitude includes the competence to independently plan, carry out and control the vocational training.
In addition to proof of personal and professional aptitude (Vocational Training: Trainers - DeterminingProfessional Aptitude), the prerequisite for becoming a trainer isproof of passing the trainer aptitude test.The Ordinance on Trainer Aptitude (AEVO) applies to all training companies - with the exception of training that takes place in the area of liberal professions (Vocationaltraining: Conduct trainer aptitude test
). However, someone who is suitable in terms of vocational and occupational pedagogy is also deemed to be, for example

  • has proven his or her suitability by passing a master craftsman's examination or another examination for further vocational training, or
  • has passed another state or recognized examination, the content of which corresponds to the aforementioned requirements (e.g. a corresponding examination in accordance with the Crafts Code, the BBiG or civil service regulations) or
  • has passed the examination in accordance with a trainer aptitude ordinance that was in force before this ordinance came into force.

If the existence of the vocational and occupational pedagogical aptitude can be made credible in another way, the competent body can exempt the trainer from submitting the proof.
