Chamber of Engineers - Entry in the list of restricted building design authorizations
Service Description
Engineers with a limited building design authorization can carry out minor or technically simple construction projects in Thuringia, i.e. in detail
- free-standing residential buildings or residential buildings that are only attached or can be attached on one side in building classes 1 to 3
- single-storey commercial buildings that are not special buildings
- Buildings used for agriculture and forestry that are not special buildings
In accordance with the Thuringian Building Code, the Thuringian Chamber of Engineers is obliged to maintain the list of persons with restricted building submission authorization in Thuringia. Registrations from other federal states do not apply in Thuringia, as each federal state has its own standards for restricted building submission.
Engineers can be entered in the register by means of an application procedure even if they do not reside or work full-time in Thuringia.
Entry in the register of restricted building submission authorizations does not require membership of the Thuringia Chamber of Engineers. Persons who are entered in the register do not have full building design authorization. The building authorities must check whether the relevant requirements are met for the building application.
