The promotion of micro-enterprises for basic services supports the needs-oriented safeguarding, improvement and expansion of basic services (trade and services) for the rural population. This primarily includes micro-enterprises for consumer goods such as:

- Food, bakery and confectionery products, meat and sausage products, drinks
- health and personal care products, drugstore goods, health food
- Medical supplies, pet food, newspapers and magazines
- Nursing services and medical-aid treatments (e.g. physiotherapy, podiatry, occupational therapy)
- Hairdressers, florists
- Gastronomy

Investments in durable assets, including the acquisition of the assets of a business premises, are eligible for funding. These include buildings and structural facilities. Machinery, technical facilities and equipment, as well as IT equipment. Expenses for consultancy and planning services can also be claimed.

Some examples of durable assets within the meaning of the support measure are

- Store fittings
- sales counters
- cash registers
- cold stores

The grant is awarded as pro rata project funding amounting to 45% in the form of de minimis aid as a non-repayable subsidy. The minimum investment volume is EUR 10,000 (net). The total value of the de minimis aid granted to a company may not exceed EUR 300,000 based on the last 3 years.
