Service Description

Waste law encompasses all legal norms relating to waste. According to the Closed Substance Cycle Waste Management Act (KrWG), waste is defined as any material or object that its owner disposes of, wishes to dispose of or must dispose of. A distinction is made between waste for recovery and waste for disposal.

The objects of waste legislation are in particular

  • the principles and obligations of producers and holders of waste,
  • the position of public waste management authorities,
  • regulations on product responsibility,
  • waste management planning,
  • the construction and operation of landfills,
  • obligations to keep records and registers,
  • notification and licensing obligations for collectors, carriers, dealers and brokers as well as
  • questions of company organization, a company representative for waste.
