You may work during parental leave if your weekly working hours do not exceed an average of 30 hours per month.

Part-time work can be carried out

• with your employer,

• with another employer or

• as a self-employed activity.

Part-time work for another employer or as self-employment requires the consent of your employer. Your employer can only reject your application for urgent operational reasons. The rejection must be received by you in writing within four weeks of submitting your application.
