Road haulage company: authorization - issue certificate of professional competence

Service Description

You want to carry out commercial transports with vehicles whose permissible total weight is more than 3.5 tons? For this you need a permit - road haulage permit or a license (Community license or EU permit).

One of the requirements for the issuance of the permit/license is the proof of professional qualification. The entrepreneur or the transport manager must be professionally suitable. If you or the transport manager can prove professional suitability through at least 10 years of uninterrupted (December 4, 1999 to December 4, 2009) managerial activity in a company that operates road haulage, then the competent body can issue you with a corresponding certificate of professional competence.

For this purpose, the competent body must be presented with informative documents proving the activity. For example, written certificates from the company are suitable for this purpose. The competent body may conduct a supplementary assessment interview if the documents are not sufficient to prove professional suitability.

Alternatively, professional suitability can be demonstrated by passing a professional qualification examination at the Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK).

In addition, you can also prove professional aptitude by passing a recognized equivalent final examination (e.g. as a forwarding merchant), provided the training was already completed or commenced before December 4, 2011.
In this case, you must submit a certificate of the final examination.
