In order to be eligible for election, support signatures must be submitted by citizens entitled to vote for election proposals of parties, voter groups and individual candidates that are not represented in the parliament of the body to be elected with a minimum number of deputies.

Supporting signatures must be provided in person and by hand on official forms provided by the municipal, district, state or federal election official, depending on the type of election.
Each person entitled to vote may support only one election proposal with his/her signature.

For each supporter, his or her right to vote must be certified by the municipality responsible for his or her primary residence. As a rule, the certification of voting rights is made on the same form on which the supporter's signature was affixed.
