Have the reported amateur radio station entered in the EMF database

Service Description

As an amateur radio operator, you can register your amateur radio installation in the public database for electromagnetic fields (EMF database). The EMF database is a GIS application. The location of your amateur radio installation is then visible to the public.

Consent for the display in the EMF database can be given at the same time as the amateur radio installation is reported to the Federal Network Agency or afterwards. You can also revoke your consent. Your radio equipment will then be removed from the EMF database within 2 weeks.

In order to operate a fixed amateur radio system with an EIRP of 10 watts or more, you must meet certain requirements in advance.

You must:

  • be licensed as an amateur radio operator in Germany and have a callsign valid in Germany.
  • inform the Federal Network Agency in a notification that this radio equipment complies with the values applicable in Germany for limiting electromagnetic fields.
