Fisheries management plan Display

Service Description

If you are the owner of a fishing right (fishing licensee) or leaseholder of the fishing right for a body of water, you must draw up a conservation plan for your fishing district and notify the responsible lower fisheries authority of this.

For fish ponds used for fishing (aquaculture) and ponds that have been stocked with water for less than twelve years, no conservation plans need to be drawn up.

In Thuringia, supervision of the implementation of the conservation plans is the responsibility of the competent lower fisheries authority.

It carries out inspections of the management plans to ensure sustainable fishing. If the information in the management plans is not sufficient to ensure good professional practice in the fishing district and adjacent fishing districts or management communities, the competent lower fisheries authority may order appropriate fishing measures.
