Apply for the SHORT TIGER short film award

Service Description

The German Federal Film Board (FFA) awards the SHORT TIGER short film prize every year. With the SHORT TIGER short film award, a jury of experts honors up to 5 short films with a length of up to 5 minutes each year.

All nominated short films receive prize money of EUR 5,000. The prize money is earmarked for a specific purpose. The winners can use it for the production or preparation of a new film. In addition, the short films will be included in the Hamburg Short Film Distribution.

The short films awarded the SHORT TIGER will be part of the NEXT GENERATION SHORT TIGER program at the Cannes International Film Festival. In the following months, the program will be presented worldwide

  • at the German film festivals organized by German Films and other
  • other international festivals

organized by German Films.

Please submit your proposal for the SHORT TIGER short film award in writing to the AG Kurzfilm or to German Films via your university.
