Requirements

As a producer, you can apply for funding if

  • you already have a screenplay which indicates that the project is of exceptional artistic quality.
  • you as a producer have your place of residence, habitual abode or center of activity in Germany and
  • you must provide an appropriate personal contribution of at least 20 percent of the recognized production costs.

In addition, your project must meet the following requirements

  • exceptional cinematic quality,

  • "significant German cultural influence" as defined by the BKM film funding guidelines, for example

    • Original language German or
    • the director and lead producer are resident in Germany or are citizens of an EU member state, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway or Switzerland
