Represents the overall interests of IHK member companies

  • represents economic interests and campaigns for better economic conditions
  • acts at municipal, state, federal and European level
  • influences legislative procedures, regional development and infrastructure

Carries out state tasks on its own responsibility

  • e.g. examinations in vocational training, foreign trade documents, dangerous goods driver examinations
  • Business-oriented services

supports members individually on entrepreneurial issues

  • offers a wide range of consulting and seminar services
  • combines cross-industry consulting expertise and service quality

Voice of the economy for the economy

  • Positions and basic positions on business-related topics are developed with the participation of entrepreneurs
  • General Assembly (elected members as the "parliament of IHK member companies") is the highest body of the IHK and decides on work priorities, finances and fundamental matters
  • Entrepreneurs are also involved on a voluntary basis in specialist committees and audit committees

  • Law and taxes

Legal form:

  • Corporation under public law

Members:

  • All companies are members of the IHK by law (regardless of their legal form),
    if subject to trade tax and business premises in the IHK district
  • Exception: pure craft businesses (member of the Chamber of Crafts)
