Chamber members (consulting engineers and/or engineers authorized to submit construction documents) may suspend their membership for a limited period of time.
If the registered person has given up their main residence, professional establishment or place of predominant professional activity in Thuringia or in the event of a temporary cessation of professional practice (stay abroad, illness, raising children or caring for a relative in need of care), the chamber may, at the request of the registered person, order the suspension of rights and obligations arising from the registration for a period of up to five years. In these cases, no new registration procedure must be carried out for the resumption of professional activity under the protected professional title.
