Road passenger transport - recognition of equivalent final examinations

If you want to run a road passenger transport company, you must be professionally qualified.

You can prove your professional aptitude by passing a

  • a professional qualification examination at the Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK) or by the following educational qualifications, provided they were started or successfully completed before 4.12.2011.
  • Final examinations to become a merchant in rail and road transport, specializing in passenger transport,
  • Final examination for further training as a transport specialist,
  • Final examination as a business economist (DAV), taken at the German Foreign Trade and Transport Academy in Bremen,
  • Final examination as Diplom-Betriebswirt/Diplom-Betriebswirtin in the Department of Economics I course in Transport Business Management and Logistics at Heilbronn University of Applied Sciences,
  • Degree as Diplom-Verkehrswirtschaftler/Diplom-Verkehrswirtschaftin at the Technical University of Dresden,
  • a foreign educational qualification recognized as equivalent.

If your degree is recognized, you will receive a certificate of proficiency.
