Honors on the occasion of marriage anniversaries and old age anniversaries are carried out in Thuringia since the reestablishment of the state (1990).

The Prime Minister of the Free State of Thuringia addresses married couples

• on their diamond wedding anniversary (60 years of marriage),
• on their Iron Wedding Anniversary (65 years of marriage),
• to the grace wedding (70-year marriage jubilee),
• and the Crown Jewel Wedding (75 years of marriage)
• as well as old-age anniversaries on reaching the age of 100 and each further year of life.
