Request calibration of measuring instruments

Service Description

Measuring instruments used to determine measured quantities in commercial or official transactions must provide correct results, i.e. they must be calibrated. In this context, "correct" means that a device operates within certain permissible error limits (traffic error limits).

Devices and equipment in the trade are regularly calibrated so that the customer receives exactly the quantity that he pays for. For example, speed and exhaust gas measuring devices, taximeters, energy and water meters are also calibrated.

Calibration marks on the measuring device - usually labels (adhesive marks) and/or seals - prove that the measuring device may be used in legal metrology within the calibration period.
