Inpatient facilities within the meaning of the Thuringian Housing and Participation Act (ThürWTG) are facilities that serve the purpose of accommodating elderly people of legal age who are in need of care or who are disabled or at risk of becoming disabled, providing them with living space and making care or support services available or making them available on a mandatory basis with the provision of living space. The care of older people and people with disabilities in facilities is carried out with the primary aim of ensuring that life in the facility is based on the principles of human dignity.
