The building supervisory authority may require an official site plan for the building application to assess whether a planned construction project can be erected in relation to the existing or planned parcel boundaries, buildings and other structures and objects in such a way that the building regulations are complied with.

The official site plan consists of an illustrative (graphic) part and a descriptive (explanatory) part. The illustrative part is to be drawn up on the basis of the official real estate map and may be supplemented by local survey results. The descriptive part includes extracts from the official property register with information on the land register sheet, the owners and heritable building owners and information on the parcels for the building plot and the directly adjacent parcels.
