Submit travel and transportation costs for medical treatment in the event of an accident at work or occupational illness

Service Description

If you have suffered an accident at work recognized by the statutory accident insurance or suffer from an occupational disease, you can submit the associated costs for reimbursement.

Costs that may be covered by your statutory accident insurance provider are, for example

  • Travel costs by public transport,
  • Travel costs with private motor vehicles,
  • Travel costs by other means of transportation (e.g. cab or ambulance),
  • Travel costs (e.g. food and accommodation costs),
  • luggage transportation costs.

Your travel costs are generally reimbursed for 2 family trips home per month. Alternatively, 2 trips by your relatives to your place of residence can also be covered.

If you need an accompanying person due to your state of health, the travel costs for this person can also be reimbursed.

If your companion has lost earnings due to the accompaniment, the earnings may be reimbursed under certain circumstances if the reimbursement is in reasonable proportion to the care costs otherwise incurred.
