Sales tax

Service Description

Sales tax (also known as value added tax) is one of the taxes on ownership and transactions. It is a general consumption tax that is generally levied on all private and public consumption.
The debtor of the value added tax is basically the entrepreneur.
An entrepreneur is someone who carries out a sustainable activity independently to generate income.

Sales tax exemption
The Value Added Tax Act provides for numerous tax exemption regulations for entrepreneurs. No sales tax is payable on these transactions.

Sales tax rate
In general, the standard VAT rate of 19 % is applied for the taxation of sales.
Certain transactions - listed in the Value Added Tax Act - are subject to the reduced tax rate of 7 %.

Average tax rates included in the Value Added Tax Act are flat tax rates that serve to simplify the taxation procedure for certain groups of entrepreneurs, e.g. agricultural and forestry enterprises.
