Press law - administrative offenses

Service Description

Press law is a subarea of media law. Based on the freedom of the press guaranteed in the Basic Law, it deals with the legal framework of the press.

Section 13 TPG (regulatory offenses) summarizes the main provisions of press regulatory law:

  • the duty of imprint and disclosure (also § 7, § 8 TPG),
  • the personal requirements to be met by the responsible editor (also § 9 TPG),
  • the obligation to label paid publications (advertisements), which is standardized in § 10 TPG.
